NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS

Electronic bids via BidVault will be RECEIVED until 11:00 A.M., May 23, 2024 by the County Auditor/Treasurer of Lac qui Parle County, for the construction of the projects listed below. Bids will be opened and reviewed immediately after the hour set for receiving bids. Read carefully the Wage Scales as they affect this project.

Minimum wage rates to be paid by the contractor(s) have been predetermined and are subject to the Work Hours Act of 1962, P.L. 87-581. Those which apply to this project are set forth in the proposal for this project:

Construction Plan for:

CSAH 27 – Bituminous Overlay and Aggregate Shouldering
CSAH 31 – Bituminous Overlay and Aggregate Shouldering
CSAH 48 – Bituminous Overlay and Aggregate Shouldering


The major items of work are: MILL BITUMINOUS SURFACE (2.0”): 3,200 S Y, TYPE SP 4.75 WEARING COURSE MIX (2,B): 5,380 TON, TYPE SP 9.5 WEARING COURSE MIX (2,B): 17,000 TON, SHOULDERUNG AGGREGATE BASE CLASS 1: 9,200 TON.

Plans and Proposals may be inspected at the office of the Lac qui Parle County Highway Engineer, 422 5th Avenue, Suite 301, Madison, MN 56256.

Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bidders bond made payable to Lac qui Parle County in a sum not less than 5% of the bid. The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to wave any informalities therein and to accept the bid deemed most advantageous to the County.
