ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS – NOTICE is hereby given that SEALED BIDS will be received by the Cook County Auditor at Cook County Courthouse, 411 West 2nd St. Grand Marais, MN, until 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 for the following project:
COUNTY PROJECT NO.: CP 016-601-001
LOCATION OF CP: On CSAH 1 1.9 miles northwest of junction of trunk highway 61
TYPE OF WORK: Bridge culvert replacement and approach grading
LENGTH: 500 ft
The major items of work are listed as follows:
• Construct temporary bypass = 1 LUMP SUM
• Temporary stream diversion system = 1 LUMP SUM
• 16’10”x8’3” aluminum box culvert = 58.5 LIN. FT.
• Select granular backfill (CV) = 466 CU. YD.
• Aggregate base class 5 (CV) = 334 CU. YD.

Bids must be sealed, identified on the envelope and accompanied by a Bidder’s Bond or Certified Check in an amount equal to at least 5% of the total bid made payable to the Treasurer of Cook County.
The public bid opening will be streamed live on Cook County, Minnesota’s YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/user/CookCountyMN/live. Bidders are encouraged to mail bids via certified mail during the COVID-19 outbreak. Cook County requires those personally delivering bids or personally attending the bid opening wear a face covering and to conform with social distancing requirements.
