NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS:
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners, Brown County; New Ulm, MN will accept sealed bids, at the Office of the County Administrator, in the Brown County Courthouse, New Ulm, MN. until 2:00 p.m. on the 28th day of April, 2020, for the following project:

• SAP No. 008-594-001 & SP No. 0803-48:
o 2020-2021 Infrastructure Improvements including: Grading, Aggregate Base, Bituminous Pavement, Concrete Curb & Gutter, Sidewalk, Storm Sewer, Sanitary Sewer, Watermain, and Turf Restoration located on Central Street from TH 14 to O’Connell Avenue in the City of Springfield, Brown County, MN.

o 2020-2021 Infrastructure Improvements including: Sanitary Sewer Manhole Rehabilitation and Trenchless Installation of Sanitary Sewer Main on TH 14 from Park Ave. to Washington Ave in the City of Springfield, Brown County, MN.

Major quantities of work include:
6,597 Ton Bituminous Surfacing, 16,894 Ton Aggregate Base Class 5 & 6, 19,022 C.Y. Common Excavation, 7,410 LF Concrete Curb & Gutter, 40,959 SF 4” & 6” Concrete Walk, 3,883 LF 12” - 30” RC Storm Sewer, 3,424 LF PVC 8” - 15” PVC Sanitary Sewer, 387 LF 8” Sanitary Sewer - Trenchless Installation, 51 LF Manhole Repair - Lining, 3,939 LF 4” – 14” PVC Watermain, 67 Each Lighted Bollards, 4.0 Acres Permanent Seeding, and 1 L.S. Traffic Control.

Plan and proposal price is $75.00 nonrefundable.

Plan, proposal and specifications can be examined and obtained from the Brown County Highway Department, 1901 N. Jefferson St., New Ulm, MN. 56073, ph#507-233-5700. A check, draft or money order in the amount listed above, and payable to the Brown County Treasurer must accompany requests for plans and proposals.

A bidder’s bond or a certified check payable to the Treasurer of Brown County in the amount of at least 5% of the total amount bid must be included.

Brown County reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
