Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Traverse County Engineer at the Office of the Highway Department, 708 3rd Ave. No. (mailing address, P.O. Box 485) Wheaton, Minnesota 56296, telephone (320) 563-4848, until 3:00 PM on March 2, 2023 for the following:

Specifications and plans may be examined and secured at the Office of the County Highway Engineer, 708 3rd Ave. No. (mailing address, PO Box 485), Wheaton, MN 56296, telephone (320) 563-4848. Requests for plans, proposal, and specifications must be accompanied by a check, draft or money order for $40.00 per set (non refundable) made payable to the Traverse County Treasurer. Award or rejection of contract will be done at the Commissioner meeting following the bid opening.
The right is reserved to reject any or all bids or parts of bids and waive informalities herein.
All bids must be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check, or bidders bond, payable to the Traverse County Treasurer for at least 5% of the proposal, said check or bond to be forfeited to the County if an award is made to a bidder and he fails to execute a contract covering the same. No bidder may withdraw his bid (which includes a certified check, cashiers check or bidders bond) within 15 days after the scheduled closing of the receipt of bids.
Minimum wage rates to be paid by the Contractors have been predetermined and are subject to the Work Hours Act of 1962, P.L. 87-581 and implementing regulations.
