City of Faribault, Minnesota

Notice is hereby given that sealed electronic bids will be received by the Office of the City Administrator in the City Hall at Faribault, Minnesota until 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 2, 2022 through the City of Faribault’s online electronic bid system (bidVault), at which time the bids will be electronically opened and read publicly aloud at City Hall, 208 NW 1st Avenue, Faribault, MN and results posted at https://mn-ci-faribault.app.rtvision.com/oneoffice/bidding for the furnishing of all work and materials for:

CONTRACT 2022-02
2022 STREET OVERLAY & SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS

The work includes approximate quantities of major items as follows:

 Mill Bituminous Pavement - 38,275 SY
 Bituminous Mixture - 7,700 TN
 Replace/Adjust Casting - 60 EA
 Relocate Street Light - 3 EA
 Ornamental Lighting - 11 EA
 Concrete Curb and Gutter - 3,025 LF
 Concrete Sidewalk/Driveways - 15,500 SF

All work is to be done in accordance with the MnDOT Standard Specifications for Construction – 2020 Edition, the City Engineers Association of Minnesota Standard Specifications – 2018 Edition, and the Special Provisions.
ONLY REGISTERED PLANHOLDERS WILL BE ALLOWED TO BID PROJECT. To become a registered plan holder and to bid electronically, you must create an account at: https://connex.uccs.com Complete digital project documents are available for download at https://mn-ci-faribault.app.rtvision.com/oneoffice/bidding. There is no cost to register or download the Project Plans and Proposal documents. Project bidding documents may be examined at the City of Faribault Public Works Building, 1200 Belview Trail, Faribault, MN 55021.

BIDS WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED BY SUBMITTING AN ELECTRONIC BID USING BIDVAULT at https://bidvault.mn.uccs.com NO HARD COPY BIDS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Instructions on submitting a bid electronically can be found on the bidVAULT website. The cost to submit a bid is $25. Bids must be accompanied by a corporate surety bond made in favor of the City of Faribault for at least 5% of the total bid amount.
The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of 30 days. Please call the City Engineer if you have any questions at (507) 333-0360.
