Sealed proposals will be RECEIVED until 1:00 P.M., September 29, 2020 by the County Auditor/Treasurer of Lac qui Parle County, at the Court House, 600 6th Street, Madison, Minnesota 56256, for the construction of the projects listed below. Proposals will be opened and read publicly immediately after the hour set for receiving bids. Read carefully the Wage Scales as they affect this project.

Minimum wage rates to be paid by the contractor(s) have been predetermined and are subject to the Work Hours Act of 1962, P.L. 87-581. Those which apply to this project are set forth in the proposal for this project:

Construction Plan for:
S.A.P. 37-613-005 Construct Bridge #37557 and #37J86, Bridge Replacement, Box Culvert Replacement, Approach Grading, and Aggregate Surfacing.

S.A.P. 37-599-112 Construct Bridge #37558, Bridge Replacement, Approach Grading, and Aggregate Surfacing.

The major items of work are removing existing bridge 4896, 90195 and L9168, construct bridge 37557 and 37558, 4,435 Cubic Yards Common Embankment (CV), 1,475 Ton Aggregate Surfacing, 54 Lineal Feet 12X6 Precast Concrete Box Culvert, 62 Lineal Feet 8X6 Precast Concrete Box Culvert and 1,579 Ton Random Riprap Class III and IV and various other related items of construction.

Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bidders bond made payable to Lac qui Parle County in a sum not less than 5% of the bid. The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to wave any informalities therein and to accept the bid deemed most advantageous to the County.
