SHERBURNE COUNTY, MN
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be received at the offices of Sherburne County Public Works Department, 13880 Business Center Drive, Suite 100, Elk River, MN 55330, until 1:00 p.m. on July 1, 2020, and will be publicly opened and read aloud on the above date, said bids to be for the furnishing of all labor and materials for the construction and installation, complete in place, of the following approximate quantities:
The provisions of Minn. Stat. 16C.285 Responsible Contractor are imposed as a requirement of this contract. All bidders and persons or companies providing a response/submission to the Advertisement for Bids/RFP of the County shall comply with the provisions of the statute.
Receipt of Bid Proposal: Bids will be received at the Public Works Department, located at the Sherburne County Government Center, 13880 Business Center Drive, Elk River MN 55330 until 1:00 p.m., July 1, 2020.
Bid Opening: Proposals will be opened publicly by the County Engineer after the hour set for receiving bids at the Sherburne County Government Center, Maple Room B Conference Room; 13880 Business Center Drive, Elk River MN 55330.
Plans and specifications may be examined at the office of the Sherburne County Engineer, 13880 Business Center Drive, Suite 100, Elk River, Minnesota 55330, or at http://www.co.sherburne.mn.us/publicworks/index.php and follow the Construction Projects & Bids (eGram) link. A user ID and password is required to download the Plans and Specifications. Contact Public Works at 763-765- 3300 to obtain.
The cost to download the Plans & Specifications is free.
The cost to obtain a hard copy of the Plans & Specifications is $50.00 with an additional $10.00 mailing fee.
TO SUBMIT A BID - A Bid Proposal Package must be purchased. The cost to obtain the Bid Proposal Package is $10.00. Requests are made to the Sherburne County Engineer, 13880 Business Center Drive, Suite 100, Elk River, MN 55330-4601. Requests must be accompanied by check, draft, or money order, payable to the Sherburne County Public Works.
All bids shall be sealed and marked CSAH 12 Reconstruction Project, S.A.P. 071-612-008/S.A.P. 204-020-006, and shall be accompanied by a cashiers check, bid bond or certified check, payable to Sherburne County Treasurer as a proposal guarantee for five percent (5%) of the amount of the Base Bid, to be forfeited as damages in the event that the bid is accepted and the bidder shall fail to enter promptly into a written contract and furnish the required bond.
No bidder may withdraw their bid (which shall include the Certified Check or the Bidder's Bond) within 15 days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids.
The County Board will consider award of the contract at the July 14, 2020 County Board Meeting contingent upon County Engineer & County Attorney review. It is the County's intent to begin construction August 3, 2020 and be completed in two construction seasons, 2020 and 2021.
The County Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
