The City of Marshall, Minnesota, will receive bids until 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 10, 2020, in the Social Science (SS) Room #235 at Southwest Minnesota State University (SMSU), located at 1501 State Street, for the following project in MARSHALL, MINNESOTA:

PROJECT Z75 / SAP 139-124-004: SOUTH 4TH STREET RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT - This project consists of the following: Reconstruction and utility replacement on South 4th Street from the intersection of Elaine Avenue and South 4th Street to the intersection of Country Club Drive and South 4th Street; Sanitary sewer, watermain, and storm sewer replacement on entire road. This project will also include new curb & gutter, new 5-ft. sidewalk on the west side of the street, driveway aprons, water services, and sewer services to the right-of-way.

Immediately following expiration of the time for receiving bids, the City Clerk and Director of Public Works/City Engineer or their designee will publicly open bids in the Social Science (SS) Room #235 at SMSU located at 1501 State Street.

All bidders are required to become acquainted with the extent of the work and the conditions under which the work will be performed.

All bids shall be made on the printed proposal forms of the City incorporated in the Project Manual and shall be accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check, payable to the order of the City for not less than 10% of the bid.

Bids shall be directed to the City Clerk, securely sealed and endorsed upon the outside wrapper with a brief statement for the summary as to the work for which the bid is made as follows:

The City Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any part of any bid, to waive minor defects, technicalities, or any informalities in the bidding or to advertise for new proposals, and to accept that bid deemed to be in the City’s best interest.

Plans and Specifications are on file at the Office of the City Engineer in the Social Science (SS) Room #141 at SMSU located at 1501 State Street, telephone: 507-537-6773. Vendors who desire specifications may secure them from the City Engineer. Copies of the plans and specifications will be furnished on request to any prospective bidder upon a deposit of $50.00 (nonrefundable) made payable to the City of Marshall or downloaded through eGram at https://egram.ci.marshall.mn.us.

The bids and the responsibility of the bidders will be considered by the City Council at 5:30 P.M. on Tuesday, April 14, 2020, at the MERIT Center located at 1001 West Erie Road in MARSHALL, MINNESOTA.

No bidder may withdraw his bid for at least 90 days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids.
