NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS

Sealed bids will be received by the County Engineer of Martin County on behalf of the Board of County Commissioners until 10:00 a.m., April 3, 2020, at the County Engineer’s Office, 1200 Marcus Street, Fairmont, MN. Any bid(s) received after said hour will be returned to the bidder unopened. Any bid(s) received without a certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder without being read or considered. Bids will be opened and read aloud by the County Engineer in the presence of the County Auditor immediately after the time set for receiving bids for the following. The lowest responsible bidder will be awarded the contract at a Board of Commissioners meeting to follow the April 21, 2020 bid opening.

Suppliers may obtain an abbreviated Proposal and Plan Set from our County Website as mentioned below at no cost.

Plans and specifications, proposal forms, and all contract documents may be examined at the office of the County Engineer (11” x 17” plan size). Copies may be secured at the counter of the Martin County Highway Department at a cost of $80.00. If mailed, a cost of $100.00. Prices are non-refundable and include sales tax. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check, or bid bond, payable to the Martin County Treasurer in the amount of at least 5% of the bid.

The County Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, portions, thereof, and to waive informalities therein, and further reserves the right to award the bids in the best interest of the County.
