The City of Marshall will receive bids in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building at 344 West Main Street in Marshall, Minnesota, until 10:00 a.m. on September 6, 2018, for the following project in MARSHALL, MINNESOTA:

Estimated quantities of major work items for the project are as follows:
REMOVE BITUMINOUS SURFACING 4,875 SY 6-IN. CONCRETE PARKING LOT PAVEMENT (ALTERNATE) 3,070 SY
6-IN. PVC PIPE SEWER 305 LF 6-IN. CONCRETE PARKING LOT PAVEMENT 1,430 SY
COMMON EXCAVATION 1,020 CY TYPE S.P. WEARING COURSE MIX (3,B) 870 TON
TYPE S.P. NON-WEARING COURSE MIX (3,B) 640 TON AGGREGATE BASE, CLASS 5 790 CY
The engineer's estimate for the construction portion of the project is $275,550.00.

Immediately following expiration of the time for receiving bids, the City Clerk and Director of Public Works/City Engineer or their designee will publicly open bids in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building at 344 West Main Street.

All bidders are required to become acquainted with the extent of the work and the conditions under which the work will be performed.

All bids shall be made on the printed proposal forms of the City incorporated in the Project Manual and shall be accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check, payable to the order of the City for not less than 10% of the bid.

Bids shall be directed to the City Clerk, securely sealed and endorsed upon the outside wrapper with a brief statement for the summary as to the work for which the bid is made.

The City Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any part of any bid, to waive minor defects, technicalities, or any informalities in the bidding or to advertise for new proposals, and to accept that bid deemed to be in the best interest of the City.

Plans and Specifications are on file at the Office of the City Engineer located at 344 West Main Street, Marshall, MN 56258, telephone: 507-537-6773. Vendors who desire specifications may secure them from the City Engineer. Copies of the plans and specifications will be furnished on request to any prospective bidder upon a deposit of $50.00 (nonrefundable) made payable to the City of Marshall or downloaded through eGram at https://egram.ci.marshall.mn.us.

The bids and the responsibility of the bidders will be considered by the City Council at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, in the Professional Development Room of the Marshall Middle School located at 401 South Saratoga Street.

No bidder may withdraw his bid for at least 90 days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids.
