NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS ~ Sealed proposals will be received until 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 27, 2018, by Mahnomen County at the office of the Mahnomen County Engineer, 1440 Minn. Hwy. 200; Mahnomen, Minnesota for the purpose of letting a contract for the construction of the following County Highway Improvement Project:

Location: On CSAH 6 between the West County Line and US Hwy 59
Length: 6.3 miles
Type of Work: Bituminous Mill & Overlay


The major quantities of work are:
MOBILIZATION, LS 1; MAINT & RESTORATION OF HAUL ROADS, LS 1; AGGREGATE SURFACING CLASS 5, TON 4640; MILL BITUMINOUS SURFACE (0.75"), SY 42182; MILL BITUMINOUS SURFACE (1.0"), S Y 32259; TYPE SP 4.75 WEARING COURSE MIX (3,B), TON 4906; TYPE SP 9.5 WEARING COURSE MIX (2,B), TON 9796; TRAFFIC CONTROL, LS 1; INTERIM PAVEMENT MARKING, L F 7556; PAVT MSSG PAINT, S F 179; 4" SOLID LINE PAINT, L F 12619; 6" SOLID LINE PAINT, L F 65524; 4" BROKEN LINE PAINT, L F 6340; 24" STOP LINE PAINT, L F 45
Proposals will be opened and read aloud publicly immediately after the hour set for receiving bids in the Conference Room at the Mahnomen County Highway Department Offices.
Plans, Proposals and Specifications may be examined and/or secured at the office of the Mahnomen County Engineer; 1440 Mn Hwy 200; P.O. Box 399; Mahnomen, Minnesota 56557. Cost for Plans and Proposals at the counter price - $20; mailed - $25 (delivery & tax included). Check, draft or money order for the purchase of plans and proposals should be made payable to the Mahnomen County Highway Department (non-refundable).
Bids must be accompanied by a Bidders Bond or a Certified Check made payable to the Mahnomen County Treasurer in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the total bid proposal. Sealed bid proposals shall be clearly marked: ?Highway Improvement Project No. SAP 044-606-013.
The Mahnomen County Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities or technicalities therein, and to accept the bid proposal deemed most advantageous to Mahnomen County.
